Y5 Building Opening Ceremony

We were delighted to welcome Cllr Mohammed Rasib, Mayorof Slough, to school on Thursday 24th September to officially open our new Y5 Learning Zone.

Cllr Rasib unveiled a plaque and cut a ribbon to offically open this lovely new facility. Our chef even baked a celebration chocolate cake in the shape of the building, The building accommodates 150 Year 5 children in 5 classrooms, 2 group rooms, a therapy room, toilet facilities and a spacious shared area.

The building was funded in part by Sough Borough Council and in part by the school to meet the needs of an expanding school. We have worked with our construction consultancy company, Carless Adams Partnership, and the contractors, CTS, to ensure the learning environment is  energy efficient and suited to the rigours and demands of modern school life.

We also celebrated the opening of a new staff car park, installation of photo voltaic panels on the main school roof and extension of the Y5 and 6 playground.
